ESSENTIAL INFO

Site Rules

Of course we want everyone to have fun on the day, but to do that, we want to lay a few site rules for maximum enjoyment:

  • This is a public event, so please take care of your personal belongings. Cheam Celebration of Food cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to persons or personal property.
  • Pets are not allowed within the any demonstration tents, only guide dogs and registered assistance dogs will be permitted.
  • Strictly no drugs or drug paraphernalia on site except for medical purposes. Anyone found in possession of drugs will be removed from the site and refused further entry to the event.
  • No alcohol or food purchased outside the event area to be brought into the event at any time.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside or near marquees or individual tents at any time.
  • Any aggressive behaviour may result in you being asked to leave the event site immediately.
  • No speeding. When arriving/leaving the park or unloading/packing up please observe the 5mph speed limit at all times.
  • No crossing into any area that has been marked out of bounds by tape.
  • Ball games are not permitted within the event site, unless under the control of the Kid’s Zone.
  • Skateboarding or cycling is not permitted within the event site.

Accessibility

The best place to park is the entrance directly off the Malden road where our stewarding staff will direct you to our blue badge parking approximately 50 meters from the site entrance. Unfortunately without having a valid blue badge you will not be given access to this parking area.

The main site is fully accessible to wheelchair users and mobility scooters, but please be aware that there are some uneven surfaces as the event is held on grass so may become boggy if it is raining and that it can become crowded at times.

Please get in touch for more information for carers.

Pets

We are a fully pet friendly event, but we do ask that your dog is kept on a lead while inside the site and that you clean up after your pooch. We do have bags at the entrance should you forget.

GETTING HERE

Train & Bus

Cheam train station is only a 5 minute walk from the site and has a good service to and from London & busses run at regular intervals to the surrounding areas. Please click here to plan your journey – tfl.gov.uk

Car

We do advise walking if possible due to the limited parking on site, but if you are driving there are easy access routes on the A2043 leaving the A3 at the Malden Junction.

Parking

We have limited parking on site, access is via the Cheam Park gates off Malden Road, clear signage will be in place and our friendly staff will direct you to the nearest parking spot. We share the parking area with the Little League football club, so please observe the barrier tape and DO NOT drive on the pitches. Exit from the site is via the Cheam Park gate on Netley Close (no entry permitted).
